Product Description
This is a high performance GEN 3 low profile linear light bar designed with a field proven microprocessor circuit that has extremely low power consumption. Using the latest Gen 3 LED technology, produces an intense beam of light, which can be seen 360-degrees even in bright daylight. There are sixteen selectable warning light patterns and three traffic advisory patterns to choose from, with the touch of a button. The switch control panel can be mounted on the vehicle's dash board or console, using the provided double face tape, or hidden mounting bracket which is secured with screws. The control panel is the command center for Lookout featuring a flash pattern indicator with eighteen mini red LEDs and four mini clear LEDs that indicate alley and take down light mode, on/off switch, LED power indicator, ten micro push buttons switches, used to select light pattern. There are 22 Gen 3 TIR modules, in total, 88 one watt LED's which are long life and totally maintenance free. All models of Lookout have a modular lens design that is highly waterproof and made of strong polycarbonate plastic that is clear for an inconspicuous appearance. The exterior frame is made of extruded aluminum. This kit includes stainless steel universal mounting straps for securing light bar to the window's ledge. Electrical Specification: 12 Volt / 6.50 amps at peak. The dimensions are length 48 inches x width 12 inches x height 4 inches.

The Wolo Lookout amber light system is beautiful, but the description lacked a huge piece of info. I have a 2008 Ford F250 and the "universal" mounting brackets are not universal at all for a larger truck and are not big enough so buyers with full size truck beware. Had I known this, I would have purchased a light from a different manufacturer with a proper bracket system as there are more than a few out there on the market. I called WOLO and they said they have nothing else to offer in the lines of mounting brackets and I will have to pay to get some custom made.... How nice.. I told them, that would have been nice to know before purchasing. I stupidly assumed that universal means universal but I guess that is my fault.... All and all I am neutral about my purchase. The lights are really nice but I can't use something that doesnt mount to my vehicle. I am assuming it will run about another $100 to have custom brackets made with stainless steel.

I have bought 2 of these bar and will must likely buy more. This bar is easy to install and easy to use. The price is good.

Before I was able to find this unit on Amazon, I had bought a "similar" unit from a shady outfit called "LED Outfitters." I returned it and am still struggling to get my money back. Now, on to the WOLO unit. It seems to be a better unit because it is entirely encased in the clear plastic which should prevent any shorts or other damage due to water. It has a bunch of different patterns which also show on the nice control box! Another important feature is the "traffic arrow." You can either use only the inner LED modules or make all of them show which direction traffic should move to. As for the "take down" and "alley" lights, I don't think I'll ever use those features and would have preferred all amber modules for continuous flow when using the traffic arrows.
